1. Position Your Design
Place your transfer on the garment, ensuring it's smooth and wrinkle-free. If pressing on hats or using a household iron, secure the transfer with heat-resistant tape to prevent shifting. With experience, you'll learn when tape is necessary.
2. Press with Precision
Set your heat press to 310°F (155°C) with medium to high pressure.
Press for 13 seconds to transfer the design.
Use a Silicone Upper Platen Cover & Garment Protector to shield your garment from direct heat.
If you notice scorching, first reduce pressure, and if needed, lower the temperature by 10-15°F.
Always test on a sample garment first to find the best settings for each fabric.
3. Peel Hot After a Few Seconds
With our Easy Peel Technology, peel the transfer while it’s still hot after a few seconds.
If parts of the design don’t adhere, lay it back down and press again with added pressure and heat (+15°F).
If needed, increase heat in 15°F increments until the transfer fully adheres—repeated pressing won’t damage the transfer.
4. Final Press & Wash Instructions
Unlike other DTF methods that suggest a single press, a final press is crucial for durability and softness.
Once the film is peeled, cover the design with parchment paper and press for ~15 seconds.
For longevity, wash inside out in cold water and dry on low heat or hang dry. While standard washing is fine, delicate settings extend the garment’s lifespan.
With these steps, your transfers will look professionally pressed and last longer, ensuring vibrant, high-quality results every time!
